When Hamtun Watches first approached Swanky, they were a brand new entrepreneurial company with no website to speak of besides a basic Kickstarter page. On this platform, the business venture had proved an instant success among the crowdfunding community, with Hamtun’s first watch design reaching its £20,000 funding goal in just 20 minutes.

However, as the brand’s popularity continued to grow, Director Ross Davis began looking into launching his own custom website as he wanted to be able to reach more potential customers and also control the sales process from beginning to end.

Rather than relying on other people to get the job done, he wanted to bring all orders and pre-orders onto his own ecommerce store and – through analysing his data on Google Analytics – find out exactly how customers were using his website and which advertising campaigns were working best.

A year and a half later, Hamtun Watches continues to grow its traffic and revenue month by month, with an impressive average order value per customer, and more than 24k online visits since the launch of their new website.

Director Ross Davis feels that “having someone build me a special custom-made design rather than using an off-the-shelf template has separated me from my competitors”, allowing him to develop his brand significantly yet affordably while retaining full control over how his store is run.

Moving forward, Ross is looking to expand his company even further and plans to launch even more product collections in order to keep up with his ever-growing customer demand.
