Created by an ambitious and creative team of Swiss jewellers, Your Mood are a custom jewellery company specialising in selling luxury customised rings.

After launching in 2004, the creative business quickly began expanding throughout Europe, with its creative and original concept appealing to a wide pool of interested customers in Switzerland, France, Portugal, Germany, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Luxembourg and Spain.

However, despite this impressive business growth, Your Mood struggled for years with the fact that many of their buyers were finding it difficult to navigate their website – and were therefore not purchasing their products as easily.

After finding out about our agency’s experience with complex and user-friendly custom tool development and design, the Your Mood team enlisted our team of Swanky developers to help them rectify the problem.

After taking a look at their website, we identified the brand’s key issue; Your Mood’s website – and their ring-building pages in particular – was far too complicated!

What did Swanky do to help?

As UX (user experience) specialists, our team of developers built out a sleek and intuitive built-in tool to guide Your Mood’s customers through every element of their customised ring design.

In an elegantly laid out ring-building menu, customers now begin the process by selecting their gender, choosing a base ring and then picking up to three decorative add-ons for their custom jewellery piece.

Your Mood’s new simple stages of ring selection and customisation.

To do this, we began by analysing the existing process and Y-framing a new ring building system by mapping out high-level sketches of each stage of the ring-building process, breaking it down into simple steps to help each user along their journey to purchase.

This custom tool was better for the company than simply installing an app because our custom solution is built into Your Mood’s website theme itself, and does not affect the speed of the website at all (as many other apps would) due to its seamless integration into the website’s existing structure.

What were the results of all this hard work?

Previously, customers would have to come to the website already understanding the product and how it worked before making a purchase. Now, every visitor to the Your Mood website is guided right through the ring-building process to the checkout page – which has now become an enjoyable activity for new customers.

The brand is already experiencing higher levels of customer engagement as a result of their unique new tool implementation. At Swanky, we look forward to seeing this glamorous brand continue to grow.
