REASONS TO MIGRATE

Why migrate from Neto to Shopify?

Neto (also known as Maropost Commerce Cloud) is a cloud-based ecommerce and marketing automation platform, particularly popular in Australia. Like Shopify, this multi-channel solution empowers both DTC and B2B retailers to build and scale their businesses.

However, brands using Neto tend to face similar frustrations on the platform. One of the main challenges of Neto is the need for advanced coding knowledge to make store customisations, which typically results in costly developer fees and delayed implementation timelines.

Other pain points typically include slow customer support, a limited app offering, restricted international shipping options, and lack of theme choice.

Shopify, on the other hand, has built a reputation as one of the most flexible, user-friendly, scalable and supported ecommerce solutions on the market. With its simple code-free customisations, diverse ecosystem of apps and providers, and responsive retailer support network, Shopify is proving to be a successful option for millions of businesses worldwide (including over 100,000 in Australia).

Ultimately, choosing an ecommerce platform that can adapt to your evolving needs and help you remain agile is fundamental to the success of your business. Brands that migrate to Shopify typically see a performance uplift and a reduction in total cost of ownership, as well as expanded functionality.

TALK TO US ABOUT MIGRATING FROM NETO

HOW IT WORKS

A Neto to Shopify migration done right

Our team of certified Shopify Plus Experts has honed a seamless, risk-mitigated migration process from Neto to Shopify.

Discovery phase

To kick things off, we’ll analyse your current website’s performance and gather insights to help inform our decision making in future phases. We’ll take a look at your existing ecommerce tech stack and functionality and consider how any custom functionality will work with Shopify.

UX design

We’ll combine insights from the discovery period with our extensive industry knowledge and detailed understanding of UX principles to produce designs for your required page templates. We will create functional wireframes, agree these with you, and then deliver high fidelity designs for sign-off, pre-development.

Tech stack configuration

We will consult on and implement a winning tech stack for your new Shopify store that doesn’t just select great point and shoot solutions, but architects a deeply integrated, (wherever possible) automated ecosystem – automating processes and sharing data across functions. Our team has plenty of experience leveraging custom middleware development or other integration apps to configure ERP and OMS systems, CRM platforms, customer service solutions and more.

Importing product data

Your product data will be exported from Neto and then configured into a Shopify-friendly format. Once ready, we will import it into your new ecommerce store. The process will be led by our dedicated Data Technician and supported by your Swanky Project Manager.

Shopify Plus store development

Next, our Shopify developers will collaborate to build your new ecommerce site. This phase includes any custom development work scoped out during discovery, as well as any subscription and payment gateway migrations if applicable.

Importing order & customer data

We will export your order and customer data from Neto, reworking it into a format that aligns with Shopify’s infrastructure before importing it into its new home.

Website testing & Shopify training

Our in-house QA specialists will test your website in line with functional specifications. Meanwhile, other members of your Swanky project team will provide training in core Shopify Plus functionality to ensure you’re confident navigating your new ecommerce solution.

Client user acceptance testing

It’s time for a period of final testing by your ecommerce team. Once we’ve got the green light, your new Shopify store will go live.
